Johann Georg Pisendel Concerti Grossi Sonates Et Sinfonias Concerto Köln Hirasaki

Il était le violoniste le plus virtuose de son temps. Vivaldi, Albinoni, Bach lui dédièrent des œuvres. Telemann, Quantz, Silbermann, Fasch, Hasse furent de ses amis. Johann Georg Pisendel (Cadolzburg, Bavière, 1687 – Dresde, 1755) étudia le violon avec Torelli à Ansbach. Attaché à la cour de Dresde, il fit de nombreux voyages à l'étranger, notamment Venise. Il fut aussi un compositeur tout à fait estimable. Le modèle galant, celui du Vivaldi tardif, de Quantz, de Heinichen, domine dans les 7 concertos pour violon et les 4 concerti grossi qui nous sont parvenus. L'influence française prévaut au contraire dans ses autres compositions, comme on peut ici l'entendre dans « L'imitation des caractères de la danse ». Avec une symphonie et quelques sonates pour violon, l'album que nous proposent la violoniste baroque Mayumi Hirasaki et le Concerto Köln offre donc un bon échantillon du grand talent de Pisendel. Le Concerto Köln est un des orchestres-phares pour l'exécution de la musique « historiquement informée ». Selon la soliste virtuose « Ce programme ne doit pas se centrer sur moi seul en tant que violoniste, mais aussi déployer la virtuosité de tout l'orchestre ». Il n'est cependant pas sûr que l'art de Pisendel se prête à ce subtil exercice. (Marc Galand)

The conceptual originality of their work seems endless. In their newest album "Pi-Pisendel", baroque violinist Mayumi Hirasaki, Concerto Köln’s leading concert master for the past ten years is highlighted. As an inspiration for the program served her historical role model, the violin virtuoso, composer and concert master himself Johann Georg Pisendel. According to Hirasaki "It should be a program that doesn't only focus on me as a violinist, but also unfolds the virtuosity of the whole orchestra". Together as a unit concert master and ensemble present a diverse selection of Pisendel’s pieces that stand out through their rich orchestration, stylistic variety and instrumental virtuosity. Again, the artistic vision of Hirasaki and the concerto Köln captures the imagination of the listener with an accurate recreation of the historic sound and an innovative, refreshing interpretation.
