Merveilles Napolitaines Du 18e Siècle Symphonies Et Concertos Pour Violon Falasca Caiazza

Au XVIIIème siècle, quatre conservatoires, l’orchestre de La Real Capella et le Teatro di San Carlo contribuaient à l’épanouissement de la musique à Naples. Les compositeurs choisis ici ont tous, à l’exception d’un, un lien avec ces institutions. Le style de la courte Sinfonia issue de l’opéra « Achille in Sciro » de Sarro s’inscrit dans la continuité des compositions de Scarlatti, agréable et expressif, tirant vers le classique, sans originalité particulière. L’écriture du Concerto pour violon de Colle se caractérise par un discours flamboyant et démonstratif à l’italienne. Le soliste y fait preuve d’une brillante virtuosité soutenu par l’accompagnement rythmé de l’orchestre dans des mouvements vifs encadrant un Lento espressivo au chant délicat. Fiorillo est quant à lui né en Allemagne à Brunswick d’un père napolitain musicien d’importance dans cette ville. Si l’on peut éventuellement percevoir quelques teintes napolitaines dans les parties du soliste de son Concerto pour violon, cette œuvre plus tardive se rapproche d’avantage du Classicisme viennois. Le langage y est brillant et sensible, inventif et chantant, d’une qualité qui ravira les mélomanes. Pour finir, la Sinfonia de Manna est animée d’un langage orné et d’une dynamique orchestrale passionnée jouant sur des couleurs tant cuivrées que boisées lui conférant une vitalité et une noblesse à l’italienne. The Neapolitan school of the 18th century is one of the most glorious moments of Neapolitan cultural life. A characteristic feature of the Neapolitan school is: the opera buffa. Two theaters were mainly dedicated to it in the 18th century, the Fiorentini and the San Bartolomeo, but with the arrival of King Charles of Bourbon in Naples, people began to think on a larger scale: the San Bartolomeo was demolished and the Real Teatro di San Carlo was built. It was immediately a "place of excellence", both for the magnificence of the building and for its artistic quality. The Real Cappella in Naples was founded in the middle of the sixteenth century and the most important composers and artists of the period composed for it, including Pergolesi, Porpora, Scarlatti, etc. The current orchestra "Real Cappella", composed of musicians from the Teatro di San Carlo, was inspired by this particular historical period and the goal is to raise awareness of almost forgotten Neapolitan masterpieces of the eighteenth century. Thus, our new release features two symphonies by Domenico Sarro and Gennaro Manna with the Real Cappella, and two violin concertos from the period by Filippo Colle and Federigo Fiorillo with the fascinating Italian violinist Fabrizio Falasca.
