Sale journée du 20 août 2016 où Daniela Dessi rejoignit bien trop tôt le concert céleste. Injustement moins médiatisée que certaines de ses consoeurs, elle était néanmoins adorée du public italien (et lyricomane en général) pour son timbre incandescent, sa présence dramatique, et cette incroyable technique qui lui permit de triompher dans les grands rôles italiens, du Bel Canto au vérisme en passant par Verdi. Ce récital du 8 octobre 2016 en la Basilique de Loreto était pour elle un acte de dévotion mariale : elle en avait conçu le programme, donné à sa mémoire par le tenor Fabio Armiliato, son compagnon à la ville, et la jeune soprano Marta Mari qui fut son élève. Rendre compte de ce disque sur des critères purement musicaux serait passer à côté de l'essentiel. Signalons tout de même une réalisation artistique superlative, mais plus émouvants encore, la ferveur des artistes, le recueillement du public, et cette puissance consolatrice qui n'est qu'à la musique. After the recent death of Daniela Dessì, his husband, the tenor Fabio Armilliato sings to remember one of the most important Soprano of the last 30 years. Together with the pianist Marco Sollini and the young soprano Marta Mari (the favourite student of Mrs. Dessì), Fabio Armilliato gives live to an emotional Religious concert with rare repertoire and first world recordings dedicated to Daniela Dessì. Some of them have been composed by the same Armilliato. Fabio Armilliato has not been recording a CD since years. Marco Sollini records for Chandos.
