Les trois cantates qui font l’objet de ce disque ont été composées pour la période de Noël selon le calendrier liturgique et ont en commun d’être pour les deux solistes soprano et basse. Johann Sebastian Bach conçoit ces cantates "en dialogue" comme un dialogue spirituel entre le Christ (Personnifié par la basse) et l’âme (Chanté par la soprano). S’y ajoute presque naturellement, pour un enregistrement signé du hautboïste Alfredo Bernardini, un concerto pour hautbois d’amour et orchestre qui permet aussi un dialogue concertant. La cantate BWV 32 montre ainsi quelques exemples de dialogue voix-instrument : Soprano-hautbois dans le sublime air d’ouverture "Liebster Jésus mein Verlangen", Basse violon (Numéro 3) et enfin un tonique duo Basse-Soprano. La cantate BWV 57 "Selig ist der mann" (chanté ici par la basse un peu raide de Dominik Wörner) offre encore un des plus beaux airs de cantate composés par Bach "Ich wünschte mir den Tod" (La mort est mon désir). Extraordinaire Hana Blazikova (Une fidèle de l’intégrale Suzuki).Timbre délicat, expression soignée, incarnation à la fois sensuelle et émouvante. Elle fournit dans ses quatre airs une interprétation de référence. Dominik Wörner s’avère ensuite bien plus convaincant dans l’agitation et la frénésie du "Ja ja ich kann die Feinde schlagen". Le Kirchheimer Bach Consort n’a rien à envier aux autres ensembles baroques actuels qui font les beaux jours des cantates du Cantor (Collegium Japan ou Ricercar Consort) même articulation, même rayonnement, et même intrépidité chez le soliste improvisé chef : Alfredo Bernardini (Concerto BWV 1055). Dominik Wörner, a prizewinner at the Bach International Competition in Leipzig in 2002, established the Kirchheimer BachConsort in 2008. Its members, leading musicians from the early music scene, perform as an ensemble of soloists in programs focusing on the repertoire of the eighteenth century. On this brand-new CD release Wörner leads his ensemble and the Czech soprano and harpist Hana Blažiková in interpretations of Johann Sebastian Bach’s dialogue cantatas. All the compositions on the present recording involve musical dialogues. The oboe d’amore and the Baroque orchestra engage in dialogue in the concerto, and in the three cantatas the soprano and the bass are the partners in conversation. All four works are designated as concertos – which in the first case is hardly surprising, but in the three cantatas is rather unique. Bach designed some of his cantatas as dialogues between the soul and Christ, entitling each one a "Concerto in Dialogo". Here he drew on a musical tradition from the seventeenth century and with his distinctive musical language produced the finest achievements in this genre.
