 Giulio Tampalini continues his journey through the world of contemporary guitar music, but this time the compass points south, and specifi cally to South America, where the wide variety of native rhythms blend with the cultures of Africa and Europe. With his true atracción fatal for the six strings, Tampalini explores passionately and precisely the rich repertoire of dances, sounds and atmosphere, which runs throughout the music worlds of Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Colombia and Venezuela, blending both popular repertoire (with songs like Alfonsina y el mar or Adios Muchachos), with the more refi ned repertoire of Antonio Lauro, Alirio Diaz, Manuel Maria Ponce, Máximo Diego Pujol, without overlooking two, young Italian composers’ - Giorgio Mirto and Marco Nodari (almost contemporaries) – and their pieces in homage to the provocations of the South.
