Not available on the market for years, this quite integral edition of the Orchestral works of Ravel conduced by André Clutuens remains a classic of the interpretation of the French composer. The original sound, even if stereophonic, suffered of opacity on high frequences. More than a true restoration, we have worked to fix these frequences, that softly opened the sound and gave more depth, reproducing the clarity of instruments and making of these recordings of 1961-1962 a product suitable for the means of nowadayas. It is important to note that, beside the Orchestral recordings, this edition added a wonderful production of the Concerto for the left hand in the interpretation of Samson François, under the conduction of Cluytens.
