Wladyslaw Zelenski Mélodies pour voix et piano Dondalska Kusiewicz Krysica Landowski

I will admit, that until now the works of Zelenski were not my strong suit. Only the idea of recording his songs in the 100th anniversary of his death increased my interest in his beautiful music. I am fascinated by the fantastic choice of lyrics in his songs. Zelenski’s music in an incredible way lifts, brings out the lyrics, transmits the feelings – complements them. A perfect example would be the songs Niepewnosc and Laskawa dziewczyna. Two completely different pieces about love in all of its variants, written in such an incredible way, that every single time they are performed a new idea and performing emotion comes to mind. A form of performing need and desire for more still remains. I had the opportunity to work with two fantastic tenors – Piort Kusiewicz and Tomek Krzysica. The person merging it all together – music and vocals – as well as influencing the way these songs are performed is the incredible pianist Michal Landowski. His piano play constitutes a phenomenal background, and at times creates a mysterious, fable-like aura. Because of it we become participants in the lives of our protagonists. It’s wonderful being able to work with someone, who’s capable of feeling and transmitting the composer’s intentions perfectly. I wish you a pleasant and emotional experience listening to our album.
