 The latest events are proof that we are unable to foresee, and thus prepare, for what life may throw at us. The world changes, the climate is changing as well, just like culture and music. These constant changes are not always for the better. The current situation around the world has brought fear and anxiety to our lives. However, I believe that we should not give up, and need to find the positive side to every circumstance. My new album, whose motto is ‘From Baroque to contemporary times’ is proof of that. To avoid a monotone album, I decided to introduce a thematic and performance variety. As in life, so in music, there are numerous links between various epochs or ways of performing, that originate from various times. They often occur where we expect them the least. To avoid succumbing to every day’s monotony, I invited local musicians and soloists to work with me. They are masters of guitar, violin, piano and singing. Most of them are excellent lecturers at the Art Academy in Szczecin, and simultaneously fantastic artists. I would like to thank the Academy for their partial financing of this project. (...)
