L’interprétation historiquement informée aura, chez Mozart, libéré les claviéristes. Trop ? Josep Colom donnerait quasi le bâton pour se faire frapper si son génie ne remportait la bataille après quelques minutes d’écoute. La foison d’ornements dont il habille l’Allegro de la Sonate en ré majeur ne lui suffit pas, il y ajoute un interlude, comme si Mozart improvisait, liant les mouvements. De quoi trouver le texte original vénérait par les grands mozartiens historique d’une stupéfiante nudité. Chaque Sonate sera magnifiée par des décors et des improvisations qui n’en trahissent pourtant ni la lettre ni l’esprit, la clarté légendaire du jeu du pianiste catalan faisant tous les sentiments, toutes les expressions suprasensibles, l’expérience est assez vertigineuse, et l’album devient vite addictif, je vous aurais prévenu… (Discophilia - Artalinna.com) (Jean-Charles Hoffelé)
