Une complicité artistique très forte unit Georg Nigl et Pascal Dusapin. Après leurs précédentes collaborations sur de l’opéra, ils se lancent ici le défi du cycle de lieder, rejoints pour l’occasion par la brillante pianiste Vanessa Wagner. Le résultat donne l’intrigante impression que les trois musiciens partagent un secret qui brille à travers la musique mais qui demeure insondable. Mystérieux, magistral et poétique, cet enregistrement, dont les textes sont issus de poèmes de Friedrich Nietzsche, est le témoignage d’une rencontre extraordinaire.

Georg Nigl and Pascal Dusapin are united by a bond of artistic friendship: They had already collaborated in two opera productions before embarking on the challenge of creating a lieder cycle. For this venture they also took the wonderful pianist Vanessa Wagner on board. When listening to the end result we are left with the intriguing impression that the three musicians share a secret, which shines through their music but can never be fathomed in its entirety.
