« Le chanteur se tait… ». C’est ce que l’on pourrait songer en écoutant ce CD destiné au piano solo. Mais loin de là : il chante en silence, dans nos têtes, sur le merveilleux timbre du pianoforte historique qui résonne sous les doigts d’Els Biesemans. Après un premier CD chez GENUIN (Fanny Hensel, Das Jahr), accueilli avec enthousiasme par la critique, la pianiste fait paraître à présent un CD avec des transcriptions rares de Liszt pour le piano : de Schubert, Mendelssohn, Chopin, et, entre autres, le Winterreise et Auf Flügeln des Gesanges en entier. Un lied plus beau que l’autre, avec des interprétations peaufinées, incitant à la rêverie, sussurantes, à la sonorité en suspens. On serait tenté de dire qu’il y a là toute l’essence du romantisme…  "The singer remains silent ...": that's what one could think about a CD for solo piano. Now, after her highly praised GENUIN debut (Fanny Hensel, The Year), she is now presenting a CD with rare Liszt piano transcriptions. Schubert, Mendelssohn and Chopin, including the complete Winterreise and Auf Flügeln des Gesanges (On Wings of Song). Each song is more beautiful than the last: dreamy, murmuring, searching in refined interpretations with a floating sound. This is the essence of romanticism, so to speak ...
