The historical recordings of the masterwork of Weber, besides the apparence, are very few : basically the great "live" by Furtwaengler of 1954, the recording of 1973 conduced by Carlos Kleiber for Deutsche Grammophon and this version of 1959 conduced by Eugen Jochum, always for DG. We can collocate it between the Furtwangler's version for the magnificent romantic view of the narration and that of Kleiber for the Mozartian agility of many liric and coreographic passages. This edition is hard to find for years and we are proposing again cause we think that it must be always available for the public.
