On passera sur la mise en scène, affligeante de poncifs jusque dans l’illusion que la travestissement vocal de Tancréde suffirait à le rendre lesbien, c’est tout dire d’un spectacle qui confond le piment et le banal. L’oreille ne sera pas non plus à la fête : pour splendide de timbre que soit le Tancredi d’Anna Goryachova qui s’est approprié le rôle sur les scènes internationales, à Bregenz sa voix se perd dans l’immensité, preuve qu’elle n’est pas si bien placée que cela. Antonino Siragusa, même s’il garde sa vaillance, n’a plus pour Argirio que des aigus en force, Andreas Wolff soigne tant son chant qu’il en affadit son Obrazzano. Face à ce trio dépareillé, tous les lauriers iront à la fraicheur de Melissa Petit, parfaite Amenaide, au grand style que met Laura Poverelli à son Isadaura, à la direction sir preste, si percutante de Yi-Chen Lin, qui sauverait presque le spectacle aussi suractif que prévisible de Jan Philipp Gloger.
