This recording of 1958 also contains a large extra (about 40 minutes) of the first interpretation of Renata Tebaldi in the role of the protagonist (Decca, 1951). In both cases they are authentic historical editions, especially that of 1958 that proposes Mario Del Monaco as Cavaradossi and George London as Scarpia. It is almost unnecessary to underline the value of this version that has passed throughout the last 6 decades. It is hard to find for several times despide the beauty of the stereo recording. We think it is now time to make this edition available again with the addition of its bonus.
