Recorded in Vienna in 1958 by the technicians of Decca, this edition of Le nozze di Figaro belonged to the agreement between Decca-RCA which has been valiant for about two decades and gave life to many co-productions of high interest. The recording issued then by RCA has been available for the public for many years. Nevertheless, it is now hard to find for many times. That's why Urania is now proposing it again, fully respecting the beauty of the sound by Decca that, at those years, was obtained by the technicians in the Sofiensaal of Vienna. As bonus the third cd contains a rare stereo recording of 1955 of the Symphony No. 37 ascribed to Mozart (actually by Michael Haydn) and conduced by the same Leinsdorf with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
