International audiences have come to love the Italian composer Lorenzo Ferrero through his operatic works, including 'Marilyn' and 'La Conquista'. He explores the musicality of the golden, yellow tuff stone that dominates the architecture of the Italian town of Lecce, and listens his way into the neo-Baroque American Gilded Age. Conductor Carlo Boccadoro captures these playful resonances in congenial manner with the ensemble I Pomeriggi Musicali. Boccadoro is thoroughly familiar with Lorenzo Ferrero's music, enabling him to make simple those things that are only seemingly simple.
