 Ce nouveau CD avec Kristin von der Goltz est consacré à la musique de deux inconnus qui, partis pour Londres au XVIIIe siècle, devinrent tous deux d’influents membres de l’orchestre de Hændel : Francis Caporale, originaire d’Italie, et Johann Galliard, né en Basse-Saxe. Une nouvelle fois, Kristin von der Goltz a exhumé une musique qu’elle interprète avec tant d’inspiration, d’ardeur et d’impétuosité que c’en est une véritable découverte! La violoncelliste est accompagnée d’Andreas Küpper, continuiste qui joue de manière extrêmement riche en variantes, au clavecin, à l’orgue et au clavecin-luth, conférant ainsi à l’enregistrement un timbre bien différent. Trois autres CD avec Kristin von der Goltz en soliste sont également parus chez RAUMKLANG, faisant redécouvrir un répertoire tombé dans l’oubli. This new CD with Kristin von der Goltz is dedicated to the music of two unknown composers, who both went to London in the eighteenth century, and who both played as leading members in Handel’s orchestra: the native Italian Francis Caporale and Johann Galliard from Lower-Saxony. Kristin von der Goltz has again succeeded in digging up music that – played so inspiringly and, at the same time, powerfully and impressively – is a true discovery! The cellist is accompanied by Andreas Küpper, who interprets the continuo part on harpsichord, organ, and lute harpsichord, lending the recording a variety of timbres. Kristin von der Goltz has already released three solo CDs with rediscovered repertoire on RAUMKLANG: Jakob Klein: 6 Sonatas for Violoncello and B.c., 11 Caprices for Violoncello by J.-M.-Clément dall’Abaco and, most recently, 6 Sonatas for Violoncello and B.c. by the little-known composer Antoine Dard.
