The combination of saxophone, trombone and drums is a rarity, and the music is anything else but customary. The three Swiss musicians have taken on a conceptual challenge, which they master with bravura. Regardless of whether bebop lines, Mardi Gras interludes, free jazz elements or folklore, you will find all of these in the music of Tré. Tré are three individuals, who excel in playing together. The band has already found its very own style, and the humorous intelligence in their music cannot be ignored. Bernhard Bamert, Born in Wettingen, Switzerland in 1970, began playing trombone at the young age of 11 and perfected his playing at the Swiss Jazz School later. He has already put his excellent skills to the test in numerous groups such as the Zürich Jazz Orchestra, the Swiss Jazz Orchestra and the Joe Haider Jazz Orchestra. Christian Niederer, born in Zurich in 1971, also began to play at a very early age (drums in his case). After attending Lucerne Jazz School, he played pop to jazz in many bands (among others, Funky Brotherhood, Dub Spencer & Trance Hill) and provides just the right rhythm. The youngest member of the trio, Thomas Lüthi (born1973), began playing clarinet when he was 11, but soon switched to saxophone. He schooling also took him through the Swiss Jazz School in Bern. And he also gained experience in numerous groups such as mats-up and the Joe Haider Jazz Orchestra.
