In September 2013, a Swiss, a Greek and a German held a musical council in Wutöschingen, a numinously picturesque village on the southern edge of the Black Forest, where our bassist Uli Heinzler lives and works. And for all that their nationalities areregistered here, these three musicians care for neither revolutionary tunes nor national anthems, which are so often all about heroic self-fashioning and xenophobic exclusion.
