The SWS is an atypical band, as much for its instrumentation as for the way to conceive music. The first work of the band, a concept album by the name of SIWTD, is a suite in five parts (and three interludes) in which both tradition and innovation are mixed in a blend of different atmospheres going from lyrical ballads to odd meter tunes, passing by free improvisation and solo miniatures.The album, entirely constituted of original compositions, is conceived as a story that develops itself between intimacy and grandiloquence, before closing up in a vortex of sounds.The disc is full of surprises, as much in the music as on the cover, a little masterpiece that reflects the will of the band to create a very personal and innovative universe by always maintaining a highly coherent artistic direction.
