Song of Songs is an album that was created with the collaboration of faculty from various universities and artists from several countries. Both renowned artists and up-and-coming young musicians took part. The theme of my new CD is to show vocal possibilities, the development of the voice from typically classical to those so-called vocally lighter pieces, based on a variety of vocal compositions by contemporary composers. A wonderful, varied palette of vocal pieces - and more - in combination with choir, orchestra, violin, piano or percussion instruments. The rich performance resources required by the composers, showcasing the voice in a variety of aspects - from typically coloratura with the use of high vocal tessitura, e.g. as3, to those more entertaining, requiring a different vocal approach. Of great note are the composers I have chosen, whose works stand out for their variety and creative creativity. In some compositions, the human voice, its characteristics and variability, are reproduced in an abstract way through instruments. Biblical, folk, nature, Parisian climate or hot tango motifs are manifested in the compositions. I would like to thank all the performers for their wonderful collaboration and the composers for the wonderful pieces, most of which were composed especially for our album.
