 Bouquet de mariage musical composé en 1840 et offert par Robert à Clara, l’opus 25 est placé sous le signe du myrte. Les feuilles de cet arbrisseau, symbole d’amour infini et d’union heureuse, étaient utilisées dans l’antiquité pour orner les coiffures des jeunes mariées : la signification de l’ensemble est donc transparente. Les textes, eux, proviennent de différents poètes, allemands (Goethe, Heine, Rückert, Mosen), anglais (Byron), écossais (Burns) et irlandais (Moore), et ils évoquent toutes les facettes de la relation et du sentiment amoureux, tout en évoquant la nature et la foi en Dieu. L’ensemble étant composé sous la forme d’un dialogue entre un homme et une femme, il est souvent interprété partiellement ou par deux voix, l’une féminine, l’autre masculine. Mais il arrive aussi, comme c’est le cas ici, que le même interprète chante seul tout l’opus. Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewska est bien accompagnée par Michal Landowski, mais sa voix, aigre et dénuée du moindre charme, ne se laisse malheureusement pas écouter durablement. On préfèrera donc sans hésiter la belle gravure réalisée en 2004 par Sophie Koch et Nelson Goerner. (Emmanuel Lacoue-Labarthe) Sylwia Burnicka-Kalischewska – soprano – is an experience opera singer. Graduated from professor’s Urszula Trawinska-Moroz (Ada Sari’s pupil) solo singing class at F. Chopin’s Music Academy in Warsaw (diploma with honours). She has a PhD in liberal arts (Warsaw University 2002) in general linguistics. Her music PhD in artistic singing was giving to the author by the decision of the Council of the Departament of Voice and Acting at Grazyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz’s Music Academy in Lódz in 2012. In 2016 she received her post-doctoral degree at the same school. Her most common roles include: 1st and 2nd Lady in The Magic Flute, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Countess Almaviva in Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, Rosalinda in Strauss’ Die Fledermaus, Gertrude in Humperdick’s Hansel and Gretel, Leonora in Il Trovatore, Amelia in Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera and Zofia in the spectacle Maria Callas. Her performances allowed her to travel to various stages around the world, amongst them those in: Berlin, Bremen, Hannover, Hamburg, Erlangen, Saarbrücken, Pforzheim, Wuppertal, Cologne, Münster, Mannheim, Regensburg, Dortmund, Hamm, Osnabrück, Schwedt, Schwäbisch Hall, Düsseldorf, Lübeck, as well.
