After the release of Un Peu Plus à l'Est, a debut album which brought to light a sophisticated writing and a passionate band, the saxophonist Samuel Huguenin comes back with L'Exil des Nymphes. In this new opus, the Symbolic Quartet sublimates the borders between modern jazz and world music and develops an original music with mythological accents. Around the unpredictable piano of Gabriel Zufferey, the woody double bass of the young Fabien Iannone and the afro drums of Gilles Dupuis, the alto player Samuel Huguenin stands out as one of the most interesting artists of Switzerland.
