After some years of work as a sideman, Swiss alto player Reto Anneler now releases his first album with his very own music. The compositions are marked by 20th century classical music as well as current pop: conscious serendipity, twelve tone rows, odd meters and quarter notes blend with powerful melodies and grooves. The rhythm section featuring Stefan Rusconi, Christian Weber and Claudio Strüby master interactions and intensity at the highest level possible. That's how the alto notes carry as sound as a bell.
