Between rap, techno, jazz and free They name it: a Helluvatime. And so it is. Even to professionals of the Zurich music scene, the quintet Recrash W still is a hot tip. Led by Igor Sima it forces together rigid compositions and baroque spirit, kitsch & art, freedom and logic. What you get is music with a strong longing for intensity, rich connotations, bizarre, intelligent, located between rap, techno, jazz and free. A music which does not pay respect to artistic conventions (even those of experimental art) but reaches beyond moral regulations. The first public performance of Recrash W took place in 1990 in the (meanwhile pulled-down) alternative culture house Wolgroth in Zurich. Since then Recrash W produced a lot of music.
