The album is a story about Julian Przybos, one of the leading representatives of the poetic movement of the Cracow avantgarde of the 1920s. The cantata, lasting over an hour, consists of twelve songs to the poet’s words – interspersed with verbal commentary. The piece is the latest fruit of cooperation between Wlodzimierz Korcz, a well-known pianist and composer of countless hits, and Monika Partyk, a poet and music critic. In their joint work, they bring the listeners closer not only to the poetry of Przybos, but also to anecdotes and facts from his life. The musical layer is characterized by grand arrangements for piano, string quartet, mixed choir and solo vocals. The performers, stars of the theatre, concert and musical stages, have been cooperating with each other for years as part of various projects. The role of the narrator is played by Adam Ferency, and his voice is a memorable complement to the musical story.
