The world of Orioxy is made of jazz, spices and meetings. The spice is Yael Miller, Israeli singer and composer. She draws her inspirations from many styles of rock, funk, jazz, classical and now Kial: a traditional music of the north of India. In order to follow her voice, Yael successively moved to New York, France and finally to Geneva, where she has established many musical collaborations, one of which is Julie Campiche. This harpiste has succeeded in integrating her instrument into a new universe: Jazz A challenge, that she takes up with brilliance. Between her fingers, the cords of the harp groove and provide a personal sound. With skill and naturalness, Julie offers us a vision of the modern potential of her instrument and makes us discover the harp under a new light. Orioxy is also a meeting between the double bass player Manu Hagmann and the drummer Nelson Schaer. With strong personalities these two accomplices bring a pulse and a range of colors resulting from their multiple musical experiences and from their attachment to the tradition of jazz. Orioxy presents its own compositions that are nourished by eclectic influences, creating a world of sounds, where the instruments dialogue while searching to push back their limits. At times soft and intimate; at times wild and stormy, the music always remains on the wire, with force and intensity. This first album called "Tales" takes us along a strange voyage. If during the first minutes, the music seems to take one into a pop-rock universe, the surprise awaits and catches our breath. From the Musical box to Ethiopian Dub, via Celtic consonances, we are trained in an adventure, where softness mixes with madness. Orioxy captures our attention by awaking this imaginary world, which remained hidden under our bed.
