The music of the British rockband Radiohead knows, besides the impressive lyrics, lots of melancholic chord progressions, interesting rhythmical patterns and powerful 'licks'. Those elements are great ingredients for a jazz musician. So improvizing on that music gives several dimensions which go beyond other and older jazz styles. Their music is, even without lyrics, inspiring material! "We enjoyed all Radiohead songs, came up with these songs and found the challenge to play a continuing and consisting story of their whole vocabulary.
