Lush - that's the name of the new project around the trombonist Nils Wogram, who counts among one of the most important representatives of the young, European jazz scene. The ensemble focuses on the warm accord of song with acoustic and analog-electronic instruments. Compositions from Nils Wogram's pen to texts by Simone Vollenweider allow a music to emerge with roots resting equally in pop and jazz. Groovy beats and "fat" chords combine with the ingenious and unexpected. Beautiful and relaxed pieces that, however, do not drift off into banal lounge music. "A lot sounds well-known. Some of the music reminds one of jazz, other pieces suggest intoxicating, pointless pop, but yet everything is an expression of laid-back amusement. The band name Lush is indeed the motto. Never before has Nils Wogram let himself float in the current of music in such an unprejudiced way.
