That music projects pictures into ones head is for drummer and painter Mark J. Huber a necessity. This he succeeds in doing in an atmospherically intense way - last but not least because of the top-class trio-formation including vocal artist Lauren Newton and the unmistakable saxophonist and flutist Wolfgang Puschnig. The two of them have known each other since their time at the Vienna Art Orchestra and have long since become well-known beyond Europe. Newton and Huber have also worked together in different formations, also in the field of multimedia. Huber confronts the two illustrious guest artists with his enriched drum sounds - for this he also uses self-produced samples and other electro acoustic sources - the basis for thrilling dialogues, strictly structured and dream-dancer-like at the same time. In contrast to entirely free improvisation Huber acts more as a director, who makes his actors enter spontaneously into a planned and prepared film and is open for changes, which thereby arise. Conflict and harmony merge seamlessly and build films of sounds full of color and intensity.
