"In this Trio it seems at first as though voice, trumpet and trombone are veering away from one another along parallel lines. Yet, then - arising from the moment - they interweave and fuse into completely unforeseen combinations. A lyrical echo loses itself again and again in the new, in very exact and elaborate networks of sound which are again consciously distorted. The approach to the sound is tied to the material and does not seek stability. There are brief moments of reflection followed by explosions of sound that constantly change and follow a ceaseless flow. The deeply organized complexity evokes an iridescent pause, which points to an almost minimalist and repetitive logic. This exciting and tight interplay can be compared to a kaleidoscope of sounds, a kind of pointillism which, when deeply contemplated, brings forth completely unpredictable images."
