Mueller-Kramis-Baschnagel, the trio of Gregor Mueller on piano, Herbert Kramis on double bass Pius Baschnagel on drums, initially came together in autumn 2001. Over a period of 14 years they have been developing their own musical language with a distinct and cultured sound and melodic interplay on the one hand, and energetic outbreaks on the other hand. Their style ranges from warm harmonic sounds to harsh, dissonant play. Their production ‘Oleaje‘ consists solely of their own compositions, which are often reminiscent of the yearning sounds of Impressionism and Romanticism. In particular, the composition ‘Erinnerung’ was inspired by a song with the same title by Otmar Schoeck.”
