Herewith the Auryn Quartet says goodbye to the record market. The stereo version was praised in Spiegel, Audio, Klassik-heute, CD hot list and many other magazines. The multi-channel of this SACD adds another dimension. Our catalogue lists not less than 67 releases of the Auryns, including complete recordings of Haydn, Beethoven, Brahms and Schumann plus Mozart, Dvorák, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Britten and other recordings from the past 30 years. MatthiasLingenfelder, Jens Oppermann, Stewart Eaton und Andreas Arndt always felt connected with the tradition of Amadeus and Guarneri Quartet. Many ensembles change members from time to time. Not the Auryn Quartet. Rather they invited somebody as fifth member, in our catalogue for quintets by Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and Schumann. "A sound of silk and gold" (Heinz Gelking in Image HiFi).
