This is the second album featuring operatic hits performed by artists of the Silesian Opera in Bytom. The repertoire consists of arias from the latest premieres of the Silesian Opera, which illustrates the momentum of its activity. One of the advantages of the album are the excellent interpretations of seven soloists associated with the Bytom opera, who often also appear on other stages. The orchestra, captivating us with its brilliant sound, and the choir are in no way inferior to them. Under the baton of the new head of the Opera, Tomasz Tokarczyk, energetic creations were developed, fresh, with a wide range of expression. They are emphasized by the excellent acoustics of the concert hall of the Academy of Music in Katowice, where the recording was made. An album for lovers of Romantic opera, who will certainly enjoy the opportunity to listen once again to their favourite arias and duets from operas by Verdi, Gounod, Donizetti or Puccini released on one album.
