Lauschangriff (German: "bugging operation") attack listeners' auditory habits by defending intelligent rock music - without falling into art-rock clichés. Rather, the quartet's explosive mixture of grunge and alternative music bears witness to an infallible sense of moods and sound structures which continually reveal new facets to the way in which we perceive and enjoy music. In between metallic riffs and hidden odd meter rhythms, the listener may discover textures which move between diverse musical contexts. Lauschangriff encapsulate the unexpected and yet won't resist paying homage to the legacies of Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin as well as the music of Steve Reich or Arnold Schönberg. However, Lauschangriff is no intellectual crusade, it's pure energy - rock'n'roll without boundaries.Together with famous trumpet player Erik Truffaz the four Zurich musicians created a thrilling, homogenous sound.
