This recording project celebrates the Flute Music of Composer Professor Konrad Øhrn and is directed and initiated through the partnership between flautists and flute professors Jørn Schau, University of Agder, Kristiansand, Norway and Ewa Murawska, Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music, Poznan, Poland and Director of Polish-Norwegian Culture Center (Poznan). Jørn Schau and Ewa Murawska have during several years, together and separately, extensively commissioned music for solo flute, flute chamber music and multiple flutes from Konrad Øhrn. Professor Øhrn has composed for concerts, festivals, artistic research – and educational projects. The music presented at this recording is picked out from a vast number of compositions performed and presented over the last years by Jørn Schau, Ewa Murawska, their students and colleagues in several countries.
