"It has to "groove" - inexorably" - with this motto Klaudiusz Zylinski launched his latest project "Blanks of Silence". Along withThomas Stieger - who earned a name for himself as very busy sideman in the Berlin music business - Klaudiusz Zylinskialready started work for this album in 2012. "Music has to exude power and energy", says the drummer of Polish origin, "it's my intention to confer "Soul" to the music by the simplest possible structures - it has to feel right and the songs have to take you away, like a good movie. In the writingprocess, we really had dramaturgical pictures in our minds and along these moods, we wrote the songs." After a short time they found the perfect third companion in Raffael Holzhauser."The three of us are all on the same page, we feel this kind of music in a very similar way - how it should be played and how ithas to sound. This makes the work in the studio very easy. Raffael's way of playing and his sound aesthetics give the music anincredible wideness - we were always flattened by the creativity of his improvisations." The first album of this band may be a "drummer-album", but the drums are in a different spotlight here - not as a soloinstrument but as an inspiration for a powerful band sound, a base for the "perfect groove".
