...VOM FERNEN KERN DER SACHE The sextett around singer and composer Andreas Schaerer was formed in 2005. Now it releases its second CD "vom fernen Kern der Sache", which means "about the remote essence of the cause". All songs are composed by Andreas Schaerer and performed by an exceptional Line-up: Andreas Schaerer voice & jew's harp, Andreas Tschopp plays trombone and sousaphone, Matthias Wenger alto- & sopranosaxophone, Patrick Schnyder plays the tenor- & baritonesaxophone and contrabass clarinet, Marco Müller on bass and Christoph Steiner on drums, glockenspiel and typewriter. The fresh breeze, which carried this group through Europe lingered on and lead them to a second album, which even improved on musical finesse and compositional maturity. Besides intense touring through Mid-Europe, where they left enthusiastic critics and audiences, the band won the famous ZKB Jazzprice in 2008 and got selected for the Festival-Series "Suisse jazz diagonales" in 2009. Ship ahoy the second! "Hildegard lernt fliegen" takes the listener on a musical journey, where slapstick greets klezmer, circuselements meet collective improvisations and jazzpunk-fragments get interrupted by solos. Andreas Schaerer convinces with his unique and authentic instrumental imitations and vocal solos. The group creates its very own musical world and can hardly be categorized. Looking for adventures? Welcome aboard! Besides the intriguing compositions the CD is beautifully illustrated by the artist Peter Baeder and contains a music clip as a bonus track.
