Between 1952 and 1958 Georg Solti recorded for Decca a series of musics of the Hungarian repertoire, that, at those times, were hard to find or at least never recorded yet. They were recordings of Kodaly and Bartok, whose Solti has always been a faithful performer for his whole long carreer. These Mono Cds of Fifties, still preserv after years the beauty of the series "ffrr" of the english Major and we have fully respected it without adding any sound effect. In addition to the Hungarian repertoire, this box also contains the wonderful interpretation of a composition hard to find for time: the Second Piano Concerto by Rachmaninov, played by Julius Katchen and conduced by Solti in London in 1958.
