Between the late sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries, Cremona was the vanguard of the musical experimentalism, so that contributed significantly to the close time and open another: intense decades in which there was the synthesis of all that past and all that this high immortality of perfection. Cremona and its territory, was born and hosted great composers had considerable cultural activity, also established fruitful relationships with other test centers, especially with Mantua, Ferrara and Florence. Thus they developed the fundamental canons of the madrigal and opera. The musical journey of this incision does not pose any exhaustive goal, but it is based on concrete examples, performed with period styles and instruments, some of which came from "The rooms for music", the precious collection of plucked instruments Carlo Alberto Carutti that, quality, rarity, usability and state of preservation, is one of the most important existing historical collections. They shall be kept in the Museo Civico Ala Ponzone of Cremona, from which was also carried part of the recording tracks in the program.
