The band FABIANS FREIER FALL presents its first self-titled studio album. Named after the head of the quartet, Fabian Sackis(compositions, electric guitar), the group is completed by Jonathan Fisher (trumpet, flugelhorn), Christopher Böhm (electricbass, synthesizer) and Sebastian Schmidt (drums, electronics). The centerpiece of the CD is the "element suite", in whichcomposer Fabian Sackis sets the different moods of the four elements to music. He refrains from labelling the pieces onpurposely so the assignment of the elements is confided to the listener. The songs "Reisender" and "Granada" complete thealbum. Pianist Lars Duppler from Cologne is featured as guest musician. The band's live-show incorporates an elaborate video installation during which sound and image merge. VJ Tim Rossbergaccompanies the quartet on tour. The group's sound can be compared to artists such as Ibrahim Maalouf, Bill Frisell,Radiohead and U2.
