Dave Gisler's Shizzle came into being when the Dave Gisler Trio with Michael Stulz (dr), Luca Sisera (b) met the saxophonists Michael Jaeger (ts) and Tobias Meier (as) in Berlin 2009. The album Dream was recorded in several formations during a three-day recording session. The result of this meeting is a refreshing and adventurous snapshot in time of free improvisation and original compositions by guitar player Dave Gisler, inspired by impressions of Berlin. Dave Gisler's Shizzle performs as a quartet and is a well-oiled band that ranges effortlessly between tradition and avant-garde, does not shy away from taking risks and thereby creates a remarkable band sound.
