Right from his beginnings as a composer, Daniele Bravi has demonstrated a natural tendency to explore sound, to study its spectrum, its timbric characteristics, its possibility of patialization, its developments and internal metamorphoses which also become the basis of the musical form. The definition of a precise harmonic field, as the basis for all his works, combines with a prepared plan of the sound events (“[…] I start from an architecture, from a project, I make diagrams, then I begin to evaluate the elements, the atoms of the composition“), and great economy of the material, with a continuous game of re-combination of musical fragments and timbric reprises, which intends to be a game on the memory of perception. Bravi often refers to evolutionary processes typical of the phenomena of nature and of physics (in the piano piece entitled La curva di Lìgaso for example he tried to describe the various states of matter in music) or to problems linked to sound in space and to the direction of the various sound sources.
