On this live recording, Daniel Erdmann, Samuel Rohrer, Frank Möbus and Vincent Courtois continue to write their story. It is good news that the band is not only still going strong but has also been able to logically further develop its concept. Sometimes sumptuously floating, then enormously gripping again, always alert and artful and full of musical refinement, inviting into open spaces that are filled in a well-paced and thoughtful manner. Composition and improvisation balance each other out. Wonderful themes full of atmosphere are developed and played around with. The question of whether these sounds are jazz, rock, pop or sounds with a hint of classical becomes completely irrelevant. It melts into insignificance behind amazement at this striking, deeply-focused music, which generates a high feel-good factor not swathed in complacency, and in an altogether fresh way constructs its edifice of moods, nuances and details. It is the group sound that counts.
