As already on the last album “per se”, the singer and band leader Cymin Samawatie again enchants with rhythmic and very emotional Persian lyrics on the new album “Bemun”. The pieces, which are sometimes driving, sometimes with a touch of melancholy, put a spell over you and you feel that Cymin represents two cultures. The fine-meshed nets, which she throws out around both, are captivating. The band has again succeeded in linking two music traditions perfectly. You especially sense at the peaceful spots how the musicians harmonize perfectly and how Ketan Bhatti supports and enriches the sound wonderfully of the simply moving melodies, which get an additional touch of “Orient” from Ralf Schwarz on the bass and Benedikt Jahnel on the piano, with his detailed and subtly differentiated playing on the drums. The album was co-produced by the internationally known and renowned guitarist Frank Möbus (among other things, band leader of "Der Rote Bereich"), who also plays on two songs. “Cymin Samawatie combines the exotic sensuality of the orient with jazz improvisation, to create a fresh new synthesis.
