Since their foundation in 2009, the Christoph Neuhaus Quintett finds itself on a continuous way of developement and is constantly searching for new musical pathes. The Fundaments for this dynamic process are the compositions created by Christoph Neuhaus. His music bears the signature of modern and contemporary jazz, but also contains elements of impressionism and creates a link to the rich jazz tradition. Hereby the musicians have enough space to create a very personal tone color through their own artistry, creative interaction and improvisation. The aim is to inspire and reach the listener by telling something through the music - Storys that can by lyrical, full of tension but also amusing and funny.2010 the CNQ received a scholarship from the "Rotary Club Ludwigshafen", played at the international Jazzfestival for young talents in Leipzig and managed to earn second place at the german Jazzcompetition "Startbahn Jazz". In 2013 the Debut CD "Directions" feat. the internationaly renowned trombone player Adrian Mears will be released.
