Eugen Indjic, piano

He plays Chopin like a Pole, Debussy like a Frenchman and Prokofiev like a Russian. These words, spoken many years ago in the context of the performance manner of Eugen Indjic, quickly became the hallmark of the pianist’s talent. In Poland, the artist won the sympathy of music lovers already in 1970, while participating in the auditions at the 8th Chopin Competition. The Warsaw audience, listening to Indjic’s mature and virtuoso interpretations, quickly paid attention to his enormous talent. The pianist regularly returns to Chopin’s repertoire, recording the work of the Polish composer from time to time. The presented album includes recordings of the Sonata in B flat minor No. 2, Op. 35, Sonata in B minor No. 3, Op. 58 and Nocturne in C minor, Op. 48 No. 1. The album is also a great opportunity to verify how Indjic’s Chopin has changed over the years.
