Chopin recital of Krzysztof Ksiazek, one of the most interesting participants of the 17th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, winner of two non-statutory awards, semi-finalist, audience favourite, enchanting with the sound colour, cantilena and masterful gradation of Chopin emotions... Music is logical, yet without emotions there is no music. I think that the majority of artists do not consider their works to be finished and the fact of putting a double bar line in the last bar of the piece does not end it at all, it opens it. The recital, recorded in the excellent acoustics of The Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Luslawice, is a display of the young pianist’s uncommon possibilities.
