"Instant Replay", Brink Man Ship's latest CD is the result of an internet based collective composition, a unique forward moving flashback based on moments of improvisation and their reworking. The outcome is a postmodern urban jazz sound full of contrasts, delicate melodies and multilayered beats. The music creates a tension of harmony and ruptures, reflecting the contradictions of modern life. Since 14 years Brink Man Ship plays on the history of Jazz in reflexively transforming its legacies into the music of the 21st century. Their collaboration with artists like Nils Petter Molvær, Nya, Joy Frempong or the graphic designer Heiwid (Buro Destruct) and the communication with their audience have always been a great source of inspiration for Brink Man Ship.
