The original dream sprang out of improvisation, playing without printed music, through jazz, to all the great songs from the "Great American Songbook". In the Swiss folksong collection, "Im Röseligarte", I found an ideal songbook with a whiff of melancholy. Flugelhorn, trombone and tuba contrast with the expressive voice of the singer. The musicians have been playing together in a wide range of ensembles for years: from symphony orchestra to big band, from jazz combo to classical brass ensembles.
